For those of you who have read my take on the fairytale The Seven Swans, then you also saw my comment on wanting to publish it. Well, before I do that, I decided to update and edit the story in the hopes of making it more engaging and rich in characters. I was also considering adding the witches mother who helps the king and then later helps the girls escape and decipher the spell. Still not sure about it. Then I have a paragraph describing the princes and princess but now I want to add more personality and setting for them. For those of you who haven't read my story, please give it a go and if you like let me know how I should edit it.
Guess what! Yes, I'm still alive, I know I haven't posted or commented much lately. But that's not it! I submitted several poems to 50 Haikus magazine and one of them got accepted. They review a bunch of poems all year until they decide on what to publish and this years 18th edition has my haiku on page 32. its a small magazine, mostly online but you can subscribe and/or buy a copy and that's exactly what I did. I'm gonna write more and hopefully they like them. The ones they don't, well I'll just publish them in my own little book of short poems or something. JK! I love you guys! SO my friend is starting an online Art of Wuxia game and I am trying to come up with some names for my character and any future characters that may come along. I'm thinking this will also be a good start for a Wuxia novel if written right, so I want the names to be good.
My character is going to be a female cultivator who used to be a noble's daughter, maybe a general turned traitor, who after some drama/tragedy runs away and disguises herself as a boy. I would like her to be a thief or rogue who helps those in most need of it but that will depend on how good I roll, but yeah!
Any suggestions for names would be great, especially if you know Chinese Literature or Chinese names in general.
Depending on how I like the names and how well they fit my character I may do a poll later and use the other names for side/future characters.
Hi guys! Anyone from or been to Japan enough to know how the country side is or details on the landscape and animals. I ask because I am writing a story based in Japan and want the details to make it more interesting and believable. Also anyone who knows about the Fox Marriage Procession myth and any details about Japanese marriage traditions would be helpful. I think there is a specific area where the myth. Or if you could give me a link would also help. Thanks
Guys, it only just occurred to me that "Shelby's/My One Year Weekly Poetry Challenge" is not a good title for my book of poems. And now, I have no idea what to call it. I considered "A Year of Poems" but that title is already taken. Plus it's not even a full 165(6) poems so it doesn't really make sense either. And I have just offered to pay someone to make the cover of the book. What am I going to do?
Does anyone know how to come up with a book title or can point me to how to come up with a title for this book?
I'll even take suggestions since you guys have read some of my work. If you prefer to be paid for said suggestion, how does $5-$10 sound?
But seriously, I'm an idiot who spent a whole year on this project then almost another year of editing and now have hires artists to add illustrations and a cover and I haven't come up with a decent title! *FACEPALM*
